Press Brake Operator

2nd Shift: (1:30- 10:00pm + OT as needed)

Pay: $26-$36/hr (DOE) 


Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator / Set-up Operator to support precision sheet metal forming operations within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating brake forming equipment, producing high-quality formed parts, and ensuring all work meets customer specifications and aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up Amada brake forming machines for the first article and production runs.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine forming sequences and tooling requirements.
  • Select, install, and adjust punches, dies, and back gauges based on material type and part geometry.
  • Operate brake forming machines to produce precision sheet metal components.
  • Verify parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor part consistency and repeatability throughout production runs.
  • Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and offsets to maintain quality standards.
  • Perform first article inspections and support buy-off requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company and safety standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors, quality, and engineering to resolve manufacturing or quality issues as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of brake form set-up and operation experience preferred.
  • Amada Brands experience preferred 
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal forming processes and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools.
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
