Job Title: CMM Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality inspection, including expertise in GD&T, CMM (specifically Zeiss), and first article inspection. This role involves reading blueprints and engineering specifications to ensure products meet the specified material, surface finishes, and dimensions.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finishes, and dimensions.
  • Inspect products for dimensional and attribute conformance for work in progress as well as first article.
  • Follow inspection procedures to ensure product conformance using appropriate measuring and testing equipment.
  • Report all findings to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Solve dimensional calculations as required during routine inspection.
  • Examine materials or products for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and incomplete welds.
  • Compare products with parts list or sample models to ensure completion of specified dimensions.
  • Reject defective parts and mark the type of defect on the part, container of parts, or inspection tag.
  • Follow procedures for the disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Record discrepancies on inspection reports and submit to the Quality Supervisor for action.
  • Perform final inspection procedures.
  • Assist manufacturing with in-process inspection and problem-solving.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks, and projects as assigned.
