Fire Protection Engineer
ASR International Corporation Location: Puget Sound - Bremerton Area, WA Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary ASR International Corporation is seeking Fire Protection Engineers to provide Design Technical Support services for NAVFAC Northwest. The Fire Protection Engineer will support the design and review of active and passive fire protection systems for a wide range of facility types.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and support fire protection engineering for new and existing facilities, including analysis, plans, specifications, calculations, and estimates.
  • Evaluate water-based and chemical-based fire suppression systems, standpipe systems, fire pumps, fire alarm/detection and mass notification systems, smoke control, structural fireproofing, firestop systems, life safety, means of egress, and related systems.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD UFC, NFPA standards, and applicable codes.
  • Provide technical recommendations and coordinate with design teams and government stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports and support status reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required (Green Card holders are not eligible to apply).
  • Must be able to pass a T1 security background check.
  • Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related accredited engineering field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant design or design management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fire protection systems for facilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; AutoCAD/Revit experience preferred.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Fire Protection Engineering.
  • Experience with NAVFAC or DoD fire protection design criteria.
