Job description

Code Consultants, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a Certified Firestop Inspector or an aspiring firestop professional to join our growing team. We welcome experienced firestop inspectors as well as candidates with a background in construction inspections, building code compliance, special inspections, fire protection, or related fields who are interested in developing their expertise and obtaining firestop inspection certification.

In this role, you will perform field inspections of firestop systems, verify compliance with applicable codes and listed assemblies, document findings, and collaborate with contractors, owners, and project teams to support life safety and quality construction.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Firestop Inspector (preferred), or relevant inspection/construction experience with the desire to become certified
  • Knowledge of building construction, fire and life safety systems, or code compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
  • ICC, fire protection, special inspections, construction quality control, or related experience is a plus
