Fireproofing professionals often work on construction sites as part of a larger crew and coordinate with other trades to ensure seamless workflow. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining strict safety standards, proper use of protective equipment, and regularly checking the quality of applied coatings. Depending on the project phase, days may vary between hands-on installation, site preparation, and progress inspections.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in fireproofing?

To thrive in Fireproofing, you need a solid understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and fireproofing materials, usually supported by relevant training or certifications. Familiarity with tools such as spray machines, application nozzles, and materials like intumescent coatings or cementitious sprays is typical, along with certifications like OSHA safety training.
