The Firefly Support Groups Counseling Center is actively seeking dedicated mental health counselors to join our innovative and compassionate team. • Conduct thorough clinical evaluations and develop individual treatment plans that leverage evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused interventions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation in alignment with best practices and legal requirements, ensuring adherence to HIPAA standards.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review sessions to enhance treatment quality and share insights with colleagues.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health disorders, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
• Stay informed on emerging research, treatment innovations, and best practices in the mental health field to continually improve your clinical skills and service delivery.

As a mental health counselor at Firefly Support Groups, you will engage with a diverse client base, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and various other mental health conditions. Your ability to create a trusting and therapeutic environment is essential in helping clients feel safe and supported in their journey toward recovery.

• A master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• An active and valid license to practice in Texas as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or licensed psychologist.
• Expertise in solution-focused psychotherapy treatments and strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client, ensuring effective and targeted care.
• Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport and fostering therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate complex cases effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment, valuing and leveraging colleague contributions for enhanced patient care.

• Experience in telehealth delivery and familiarity with teletherapy platforms and documentation standards.
• Background in working with diverse populations or specialization in specific mental health conditions or therapy modalities.
• Previous involvement in interdisciplinary team-based care, contributing to case collaboration and treatment planning.

The Firefly Support Groups Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
