Job description

Firefighter Paramedic

The City of Hapeville is accepting applications for the position of Firefighter Paramedic or Paramedic.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responds to emergency calls for fire suppression.
  • Responds to medical calls and transport.
  • Responds to Hazardous material incidents.
  • Operates, drive, utilizes and/or maintains various firefighting and medical equipment
  • Operate a personal computer or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.
  • Makes periodic public presentations.
  • Fire safety training develops, plans and participates in Fire prevention/safety

Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. State of Georgia Basic Firefighter Certification or completion within one (1) year. (Department provides training). Must be a Paramedic in the State of Georgia. Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certification. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
