Job description

Job Title: Firearm Instructor & Range Safety Officer

Summary

Williams Gun Sight is looking to add a qualified instructor to their roster for USCCA or NRA sanctioned classes. On average our instructors will teach one to two sanctioned classes per month based on customer demand. In addition, all of Williams instructors are required to work 1-3 days per week as a Williams’ Range Safety Officer on our indoor and/or outdoor ranges. While scheduled as an RSO, instructors have the ability to earn commission while teaching one-on-one classes for Williams’ customers.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Instructing and leading USCCA or NRA sanctioned Firearm Classes on behalf of Williams Gun Sight.
  • One-on-one instructional session with Williams range customers.
  • Working with shooters on firearm safety and range procedures
  • Providing a positive customer experience within Williams’ ranges and retail environment
  • Maintain a clean firearm range and work environment
  • Ensuring public firearm ranges are operating in a safe manner
  • Provide assistance with range maintenance which may require heavy lifting and exposure to lead.

Applicant Requirements/Skills

  • Certified instructor through USCCA or NRA.
  • Extensive firearm experience and Firearm safety knowledge is absolutely required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Required to stand for long periods of time
  • Heavy lifting may be required

Physical Demands

  • Candidate must possess the physical requirements to perform activates listed above
  • Candidate must be physically able to stand, walk, and/or sit for a period of time
  • Candidate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably
  • Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time
