We have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Sprinkler Service Sales Representative located in Des Moines, IA.

How you will contribute: 

This is a great opportunity to perfect your sales skills by identifying new business opportunities and establishing new accounts, selling profitable work, and developing new customer bases on new construction and service contracts. You will develop sales plans and objectives regarding new work, contract negotiation, claims resolution, and future work potential. This position also serves as the team project leader during work acquisition and project execution while utilizing sales tools to plan and document progress as well as increase business opportunity in accounts. The Service Sales Representative will also develop and maintain strong customer relationships, identify opportunities within existing accounts, and pursue new business throughout the market. Working closely with service coordination and field teams, you will help develop solutions that address customer needs while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

What you need to qualify:

Ahern will make the most of your previous fire protection service or similar service related experience. Prior experience in sales, the level of which is likely attained with 2 plus years related work experience is preferred. Successful candidates will have demonstrated excellence in customer service, organization and communication skills. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment. Being a self-starter and possessing the ability to work independently will be essential. Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, inspection and testing requirements, service agreements, or related construction/service industries is preferred but not required.
