Job description

Seeking an experienced construction security officer for a fire-watch for a part-time opening in downtown PHX location for a fire-watch
Must have security construction experience and firewatch experience.
Must have an AZ guard card.
PT opening on Saturday nights for a temporary opening for 4 to 6 weeks.
Be able to start right away.
Looking for a full-time security officer for a fire-watch/security on Tue, Wed and Thursdays each week from 5pm to 5am.
 NOTE- the shift end time may be at between 2am and 5am. When the crew comes in , in the morning they will release you. So plan on 9 to 12 hour shift.
Downtown PHX location- free parking included.
This is for security officer night shift at a construction site in downtown PHX for a firewatch. We are looking for security officers that have experience in working security on a construction site. Must know safety and OSHA standards for working at a construction site.

Some of the duties included but not all.
Be able to work alone at night. 

  • Using silvertrac for DARs, 2 entries per hour
  • Firewatch. every 2- hours and security patrols twice an hour. 
  • Patrol the fenced areas.
  • Watch for fires or other emergencies.
  • Report all pipe leaks, issues as needed.
  • Working outside on your shift.
  • Check all gates and fence lines.
  • Do not let anyone on site on off hours.
  • Keep vagrants/homeless people off site and away from the construction areas and their closed sidewalk and office areas.
  • Walking stairs
  • Watch for theft, vandals, unauthorized people, homeless person trying to gain entry.
  • Be able to use silvertrac for reporting hourly and incident reports.
  • Patrolling and checking two areas an hour on silvertrac.
  • Work mostly alone or the whole shift without supervision.
  • Call 911 as needed or call police, fire or ambulance.
  • watching for fence jumpers or and keeping people out of the site
  • Answer the site phone as calls may come in overnight.
  • Be detailed, aware, and alert at all times.
  • Walking patrols every hour, walking up and down stairs, fence lines.

What to know-

Must be able to work alone and handle homeless persons with respect and care. 
Understand what is needed for a firewatch detail.
  • 17 floor building. Stairs only, no elevator.  Be able to walk stairs, up and down a few times a shift.
  • You do not have to walk all floors each hour- but mix it up throughout your shift on different floors. 
Must be in good physical shape/ fit.
Walking, foot patrols, walking stairs.
Work alone over nights. You are in a locked fenced area.
Be able to handle high stress situations and be able to handle difficult people.
Must wear hardhat, safety vest at all times while on site on duty. ( which will be supplied for you)
Port-o-Johns on site only.

 
Must have a current AZ guard card.
