You're a dedicated Fire Safety Specialist with a strong commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of fire protection systems. With your extensive knowledge of fire codes, standards, and best practices, you play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the effectiveness of fire safety measures for our customers. You excel at conducting inspections, performing maintenance, and implementing proactive measures to ensure that all systems function optimally and comply with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

In the role of Fire Safety Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Install, repair, and inspect smoke and fire suppression systems.

  • Inspect, test and repair fire alarm wiring, fire alarm panels and peripheral equipment.

  • Identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.

  • Inspect, repair or replace smoke/heat detectors and sprinkler heads.

  • Repair and test wet/dry systems; test fire alarm system devices using appropriate diagnostic programs and test equipment.

  • Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

  • Read, interpret, and apply system design plans and building construction drawings and documents.

  • Perform true test smoke detector sensitivity procedure.

  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is required.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have an active SECRET clearance and be eligible for upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly level clearance.

  • Five (5+) years of experience in the installation of fire detection, alarm, control, and suppression systems.

  • Professional Engineer License or (NICET) Level III

  • Certified in Fire Protection Systems from a jurisdiction within the US and requisite experience (or equivalent and approved by the customer)

  • A willingness to work on-call to resolve equipment deficiencies impacting facility operation.

  • Ability to work rotational shift if necessary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Ability and willingness to work in a challenging environment.
