Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and assist in the preparation of fire protection drawings and schematics, adhering to NFPA standards and building codes. Including any required calculations.
  • Working experience with Revit, AutoCAD and other applicable software.
  • Coordinate sprinkler system piping with other building components and perform hydraulic calculations.
  • Coordinate with other consulting disciplines to ensure drawing integrity and completeness.
  • Perform site investigation to verify the existing site condition, if required.
  • Perform general duties as required such as printing, plotting, scanning, conversion, shop drawings, quantity take-offs and measurement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Post-secondary Diploma or Certificate in Fire Protection or a related field.
  • 3+ years of work experience in fire protection design.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other software programs as required.
  • Knowledge of HydraCALC
  • Experience with ESFR & High-piled Storage Application is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Ontario Building Code (OBC), NFPA standards, etc.
  • Ability to meet deadlines/successful completion of deliverables.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure on various tasks.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Compensation Range: $60,000 - $85,000 /per annum
This compensation represents INVIRO’s current anticipated range for this position. Actual compensation offered may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skills.
