Job description

Founded in 1984, Firetrol Protection Systems, Inc. is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking an Fire Systems Helper to join our team of over 1200 of the best fire protection professionals in the industry.

  • Assist in the performance of routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of fire protection systems - fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems and extinguishing systems under direct supervision.
  • Assist in the diagnoses and evaluation of systems that require servicing as well as assisting in troubleshooting issues that arise during inspections.
  • Assist in the documentation of inspection findings and recommendations.
  • Assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment and the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems under direct supervision of a licensed technician.
  • Assist with diagnosing and evaluating industrial fire protection systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
  • Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Some overtime, nights, weekends and on-call hours may be required.

Requirements

  • Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of fire protection systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
  • Must be able work at the IAH Airport.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain any applicable state licenses.
  • Experience installing Conduit both EMT and Rigid is preferred.
  • A current Driver's License is preferred.
  • Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of alarm systems or related equipment is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Must be able to satisfy Government, Federal and Customs background check requirements.
