Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection District Sales Manager to oversee the district's sales operations and manage the entire project sales lifecycle-from opportunity identification through contract negotiation, project award, and final handoff to operations. This individual will work closely with the District General Manager to drive strategy and growth, expand clientele base, develop department procedures to ensure/ measure success, as well as lead the development and execution of sales strategies while driving the growth of Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler project sales throughout the assigned territory.
Job Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers to drive sales of Impact Fire Services' Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler offerings.
  • Lead the district's sales team to achieve activity, revenue, profitability, and overall financial performance goals.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies that support business growth and market expansion.
  • Understand market trends, identify key fire protection project opportunities, and represent Impact Fire Services at industry events and networking functions.
  • Manage, mentor, coach, and develop the New England Project Sales team to maximize individual and team performance.
  • Achieve assigned sales and financial goals for the designated territory (identify applicable states).
  • Develop pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and secure new business while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze results, and refine sales strategies to consistently meet or exceed established sales objectives.
  • Oversee the assignment of bid opportunities among the sales team and manage the bid review process.
  • Ensure a smooth and effective handoff of awarded projects from the sales team to operations.
  • Identify strategic target customers and expand the client base for both Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler projects.
  • Collaborate with estimating, operations, and executive leadership to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience selling commercial Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler systems is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a sales team.
  • Demonstrated success leading a fire protection sales organization while consistently meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing business development or sales role is required.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with the ability to motivate high-performing sales professionals.
  • Experience managing project sales and developing solutions that meet customer needs while achieving company sales objectives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and successfully sell to customers at all organizational levels.

Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
