Job Description

The Fire Sprinkler Systems Sales Specialist supports our existing customers and attracts new commercial clients. In this role you will focus your efforts on Sprinkler system deficiencies, repairs, expansions and upgrades. You are expected to reach out to prospective customers and generate new sales opportunities. The successful candidate will increase income and revenue by generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales opportunities of fire protection products and services.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential customer by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads to provide quotes.
  • Handle sales opportunities related to small contract repairs, complex deficiencies and upfit opportunities of sprinkler systems and equipment (Fire Pumps, Backflows, Compressors, etc.).
  • Monitor bid and tender websites for sprinkler system upfit opportunities.
  • Manage assigned customer accounts to ensure that we are looking after all their fire protection service work requirements.
  • Prepare customer quotes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide solutions for customers that meet their unique needs.
  • Develop relationships and solid product knowledge for all our suppliers.
  • Work closely with our Operations team to ensure that all opportunities are handled seamlessly for the customer.
  • Follow-up with leads generated from other departments.
  • Pass leads to Security, Fire Alarm, and Service departments as required.
  • Complete required paperwork for new customers and new jobs in accordance with company policy
  • Update client information in the company contact database as required.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of CFLS's services and pricing structure.
  • Provide regular communication with the Service Sales and Operations Manager

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of Proven sales experience
  • Technical expertise on design, installation and service of sprinkler systems
  • Knowledge of fire codes, building codes and fire protection standards (OFC, OBC, NFPA, etc.)
  • Experience working with a CRM.
  • Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
  • Computer use competency.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • General Knowledge of Fire Alarm, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lights, Kitchen & Special Suppression an asset
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time within Southwestern Ontario
