Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, guiding the next generation of EMTs with expert knowledge and real-world experience.We offer a competitive hourly rate of $35 an hour. We need someone who is a strong leader, an effective communicator, and deeply knowledgeable about EMT skills. Ideally, you'll have a current Connecticut EMT-B certification or higher, at least 5 years of field experience as an EMT, a minimum of 2 years of EMT instructor experience preferred, a current AHA BLS CPR Instructor certification, demonstrated leadership experience, and expert knowledge of NREMT Psychomotor Examination Requirements. MissionCIT EMS classes utilize a hybrid learning model, which includes weekly zoom sessions and Saturday Skills sessions. We have 5-Week Accelerated courses, 6-Week Boot Camp courses, and 7/12-Week courses.


Responsibilities

Instruct weekly zoom sessions with 30-100 students, which usually take place from 6-9pm or between. We are looking for instructors that will engage with students in a meaningful way, and teach the MissionCIT content according to relevant guidelines.


Instruct Saturday/Sunday Skills sessions from 8am-4pm at various locations around the state. Boot Camp skills sessions take place 8am-4pm M-F. We are looking for instructors that can teach at Fairfield, Litchfield, and Eastern Fire Schools, as well as the Shelton, CT area.


Qualifications

AHA BLS CPR Instructor Certification REQUIRED.


CT EMS-I Certification REQUIRED.


Two (2) or more years as an EMS-I preferred.
