Position Summary

Eagle Fire is seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team in Kennesaw, GA.

We are seeking an Inspector who can also handle service work and small construction projects. Our immediate focus is on executing inspections. As those are completed, the FSSI will transition into handling service calls and small upfit projects as needed.

  • NICET (Required)
  • Strong dual skillset in both inspections and hands-on service/install experience
  • Backflow License (Required)
  • Georgia Fire Sprinkler Licensed
  • Kitchen Hood and Portable Extinguishers (preferred)
  • Travel to customer and construction sites is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough, routine inspections of systems in accordance with local codes and regulations (primary focus for the upcoming months).

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work driven by service calls or inspection deficiencies.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and construction documents

  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, manufacturer requirements, and Company policies

  • Identify and communicate material shortages, field changes, or installation issues to supervisors in a timely manner

  • Coordinate work to minimize disruption to customer operations and project schedules

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

  • Accurately document work and inspections performed and communicate project updates effectively

  • Participate in continuing education and certification training as required

  • Follow all Company safety policies and immediately address unsafe conditions or practices

  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive customer-focused attitude

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, and related fire protection work preferred

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered

  • Practical knowledge of NFPA codes and fire protection industry standards

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate trade-related tools and equipment

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • Sprinkler: Technicians, inspectors Journeyman/foreman preferred

  • Ability to successfully complete and maintain required certifications and licensing

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and climb for extended periods

  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions

  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, and physically demanding environments

  • Ability to travel and stay overnight as required

  • Ability to safely operate Company vehicles, hand tools, power tools, and industry equipment
