Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire alarm and life safety systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring compliance with applicable fire alarm codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems, detection devices, emergency lighting, and related life safety equipment.

  • Diagnose and repair faults specifically within fire alarm and control systems.

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance according to national and local fire alarm standards (e.g., NFPA 72) and regulatory requirements.

  • Complete detailed service reports, testing documentation, and compliance records for fire alarm systems.

  • Ensure all work complies with local fire alarm codes, safety regulations, and company standards.

  • Communicate findings and recommendations regarding system status and upgrades to customers and management.

  • Respond to service calls and emergency fire alarm maintenance requests when required.

  • Coordinate with customers, contractors, and project managers on system installation, programming, and maintenance activities.
