Fire Systems Inc., part of the Altus Fire & Life Safety family of companies, located in Dartmouth, MA, is looking for a Fire Alarm Repair Technician to join our team. The Fire Alarm Repair Technician is primarily responsible for installing and servicing fire protection systems. We value our well-being just as much as our hard work. Fire Systems Inc. is a recognized Notifier distributor serving Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We specialize in the programming, service, troubleshooting, and support of Notifier fire alarm systems while partnering with many of the area's leading electrical contractors. We are seeking technicians who are passionate about mastering the Notifier product line and building a career supporting one of the industry's most respected fire alarm platforms.
Hourly Rate: $48.00/hour - $54.00/hourResponsibilities
  • Install, service, inspect, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot deficiencies in fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct regular system tests and inspections to verify operational reliability and code compliance.
  • Professionally interact with customers on-site and provide excellent service.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor within the field team.
  • Coordinate with office staff regarding scheduling, job status updates, and emergency service requests.
  • Accurately complete all required service reports, work orders, and documentation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable codes during all fieldwork.
  • Maintain a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable presence while representing Fire Systems Inc.
Required Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years' experience installing, servicing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining various types of fire alarm systems.
  • Proficient in NFPA 72; familiarity with NFPA 13, NFPA 20, and NFPA 25 is a plus.
  • Current fire alarm license in Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
  • Experience reading blueprints and a working knowledge of fire alarm system components and programming.
  • Experience with Notifier fire alarm systems and programming is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
