The Role

Are you a highly experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and shaping scalable, high-performing software solutions? Do you enjoy influencing system design while mentoring others and driving engineering excellence? If so, we’d love to have you join our team as a Sr. Software Engineer III!

In this role, you’ll lead the engineering of complex systems, contribute to architectural decisions, and play a key role in delivering solutions that power DCI’s financial software platforms. You’ll collaborate across teams, support high-impact initiatives, and help ensure the delivery of reliable and scalable technology.

This position may be located in our corporate office in Hutchinson, KS, or performed remotely.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and maintain complex, secure, and efficient software solutions aligned with DCI’s engineering practices
  • Develop high-quality code that ensures optimal system performance and scalability
  • Lead and participate in code reviews to promote engineering excellence
  • Troubleshoot and resolve highly complex system and application issues
  • Maintain technical documentation and support system enhancements
  • Support implementation efforts, including testing, release, and training
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver solutions that meet customer and business needs
  • Mentor and guide engineers, supporting technical growth and development

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required
