What is a Fintech Engineer?

A Fintech Engineer is a technology professional who designs, develops, and maintains software systems and solutions for the financial technology industry. Their work typically involves building applications and platforms for digital banking, payment processing, online lending, investment management, and other financial services. Fintech Engineers often use programming languages like Python, Java, or C++, and they must understand financial regulations, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. They play a crucial role in making financial services more accessible, efficient, and secure.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Fintech Engineer?

To thrive as a Fintech Engineer, you need strong programming abilities (such as Python, Java, or C++), a solid understanding of financial systems, and a relevant degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with fintech platforms, blockchain technology, APIs, and certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or CFA are highly beneficial. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication are crucial soft skills in this role. These competencies are vital for developing secure, innovative, and compliant financial technology solutions in a rapidly evolving industry.

What are some common challenges Fintech Engineers face when integrating new technologies with legacy banking systems?

Fintech Engineers often encounter difficulties when connecting modern applications to legacy banking infrastructures, which may use outdated programming languages or lack robust APIs. These challenges require creative problem-solving, strong documentation skills, and close collaboration with IT and compliance teams to ensure security and regulatory standards are met. Successfully navigating these integrations not only improves technical proficiency but also builds valuable experience in bridging traditional finance with cutting-edge technology.

How much do fintech engineers make?

Fintech engineers typically earn between $80,000 and $150,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and company size. Senior roles or those with specialized skills in blockchain, cybersecurity, or data analysis can command higher salaries. Compensation may also include bonuses, stock options, and benefits.

Is fintech a high paying career?

Fintech engineers typically earn above-average salaries compared to other technology roles due to the specialized skills required, such as programming, data analysis, and knowledge of financial regulations. Job description

Zendit is IDT’s B2B digital payments API platform — enabling mobile top-ups, eSIMs, digital gift cards, and payment services for developers and enterprises worldwide. The product is live, the customer base is growing, and we are now investing in the marketing engine that turns pipeline into revenue.

We are looking for a hands‑on B2B Marketing & Sales Enablement Manager who owns the full funnel: attracting qualified traffic, converting it into MQLs, nurturing those leads through the CRM, and arming the sales team with the materials they need to close. You will also steward the Zendit brand, maintain our digital presence, and represent the company at industry events.

This role reports directly to the President of Zendit and works in close collaboration with Sales and Product teams.

Responsibilities

1. Demand Gen & Lead Management:

  • Drive traffic across organic, paid (LinkedIn/Google), and AI search (GEO) channels, targeting fintech developers and enterprise buyers.
  • Own the full HubSpot inbound funnel: landing pages, MQL/SQL handoffs, behavioral lead scoring, and segmented nurture sequences.
  • Maintain CRM hygiene and report weekly on CAC, MQL volume, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.

2. Sales Enablement & Launches:

  • Create and maintain high‑impact sales collateral (pitch decks, battle cards, one‑pagers) and keep website content aligned with the product roadmap.
  • Lead end‑to‑end product launch campaigns, developing messaging and delivering assets across web, email, and sales channels.

3. Website & Brand Awareness:

  • Own zendit.io: drive SEO/GEO optimization, CRO, and developer documentation updates based on site analytics (GA/Search Console).
  • Build brand recognition in the digital payments space through thought leadership (blogs, whitepapers, PR) and active management of LinkedIn and developer communities.

4. Trade Events:

  • Manage end‑to‑end event logistics (e.g., Money 20/20, MWC), including booth planning, attendee targeting, and post‑event lead follow‑up.
  • Equip sales with strategic pre‑ and post‑event briefs.
Requirements

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 5+ years in B2B marketing, ideally in SaaS, fintech, payments, or an API‑first product.
  • Demonstrated experience running demand‑generation campaigns with measurable ROI.
  • Familiarity with the B2B buyer journey: awareness → MQL → SQL → close → expansion.
  • Experience marketing to technical or developer audiences is a strong plus.
  • English proficiency - C1.

Tools & Tech:

  • Automation: HubSpot expert (workflows, sequences, dashboards).
  • Acquisition: LinkedIn/Google Ads, SEO, and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
  • Productivity: Advanced Excel/Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Slides; Canva for quick, on‑brand designs.

Skills:

  • Copywriting: Concise, compelling writing across emails, web, and collateral.
  • Collaboration: Works seamlessly with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
  • Execution: Strong project management and a highly data‑driven mindset (KPI tracking and leadership reporting).
We offer you
  • Remote b2b or on‑site employment (Belarus‑Moldova) work opportunity!
  • Stable job with long‑term growth perspective.
  • Competitive salary with annual performance review.
  • Really good hardware.
  • An exciting and challenging job with talented people around.
  • Continuous learning and career growth opportunities.
  • Compensation for professional training, seminars, and conferences.
  • Referral program – get rewarded for helping us grow the team with talented people.
  • Company‑supported English classes to enhance your professional growth.
  • More perks for the Minsk and Chisinau office employees.
