Job description

Key Responsibilities 

  • Inspect and service transformer components including housings, grounding, bushings, tanks, oil levels, cooling fans, oil pumps, vibrations, air movement, noise levels, anchors, positioning, radiator fins, ground resistors, tap change settings, loads, asset labeling, name plates, ARC and PCB labels, and security locks. 

  • Perform repairs and replacements: bushings, gaskets, taps, housings, radiators, and fans. 

  • Refill and verify proper tank oil levels. 

  • Remove and replace transformers, install precast concrete slabs, underground conduits, grounding rods, and terminate feeders and lugs. 

  • Conduct oil processing for FR3 and mineral oil insulated transformers, including moisture, gas, and contaminant removal. 

  • Perform medium to high voltage transformer testing, including insulation and winding tests.
