PHLEBOTOMIST - PRN


Summary: Obtain blood samples by venipuncture and fingerstick. Collect urine samples from outpatients, throat cultures or other specimens. Serve patient needs from all age groups from neonate through geriatric patients.

1. Perform venipuncture and fingerstick blood collection and ensure chain of custody for Non-DOT drug screen collections. Using computer system to perform necessary job functions.
2. Performs and assures glucometer proficiency testing is done and turned into lab manager in a timely fashion
3. Assists with ongoing lab review and improvements and other duties as assigned by lab manager


Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completed phlebotomy class with certificate.

Experience:

Prefer previous work experience as phlebotomist.
