Starting Salary: $17.50

Employment Type: Hourly FT

Work Environment: Sunday – Thursday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am with overtime including extended hours and Saturday as needed

Job Summary:

The Finger joint Stacker is responsible for providing support to the Finger joint Assistant and Finger joint Operator by feeding block, operating the controls of the Finger jointer, stacking, and keeping the work center clean and organized.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Feeding material into the Fingerjointer as well as stack material as it comes out of the Fingerjointer.
  • Confirm that the piece count is accurate on each unit of each order.
  • Tag and band units.
  • Cut back rejects using a chop saw.
  • Utilize downtime to keep the work center clean and organized.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read a measuring tape.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
