Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental health concerns to inform the development of individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver high-quality individual therapy sessions utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques, tailored to each client's specific needs.
• Collaborate with clients to establish clear therapeutic goals and consistently monitor their progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to promote optimal mental health.
• Provide teletherapy services, ensuring that clients who prefer virtual sessions or face physical or geographical barriers still receive comprehensive mental health support.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation to adhere to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards, reflecting our commitment to professionalism.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training to enhance your clinical skills and stay informed about emerging practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will support a diverse client population, addressing a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and adjustment issues. Our clients come from varying backgrounds and age groups, emphasizing the importance of cultural competence and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual needs effectively.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license in the state of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to clients' experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, crucial for managing a diverse caseload and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in conducting teletherapy sessions and adapting therapeutic techniques for a virtual environment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient documentation and client management.
• Background in evidence-based treatment modalities and a keen interest in continuing education within the mental health field.
