Project Overview:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Finance secures and protects financial resources that enable the CBP mission. They serve as a trusted partner in financial management, operations, and stewardship, including the delivery of quality pay, revenue, and accounting services for their customers. 


Role Description:

Flatter, Inc. (Flatter) is hiring a Finance Process Analyst I to provide financial and operations support to our CBP Office of Finance client. This includes reviewing and processing financial transactions. This position reports directly to the project manager and provides support to the clients located in Indianapolis, IN or Washington, DC offices. This role requires in-person support.   


Responsibilities:

• Assisting with daily financial transaction processing.

• Performing analysis of financial transactions over time.

• Demonstrating strong attention to detail when receiving, reviewing, and processing all incoming documents.

• Responding to client and customer inquiries with clear, timely, and professional communication, both verbal and written.

• Collaborating effectively with internal teams and internal CBP customers to resolve outstanding issues and provide updates as needed.

• Providing accurate and timely information for all work products and communications, both written and verbal.

• Recommending opportunities for process improvement, reengineering, modernization, or transformation.

• Developing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing completed and planned work. 




Requirements:

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3 or more years of relevant experience. 

• Bachelor’s degree. 

Preferred:

• Active CBP BI or reciprocity strongly preferred.

• Strong preference for Federal experience.

• Strong preference for financial or accounting experience.

• Strong communication skills with the ability for oral and written communication with senior levels of management and the client.
