- Job Title: Part-Time Service Associate
- Location: Roanoke, INย
- Schedule: Approximately 20-25 hours per weekย
- Hours: M - F 10:00a-2:00p; occasional Saturday rotation 8:00a-12:00p
Position Summary
The Part-Time Service Associate serves as a frontline representative of the branch, providing excellent customer service while processing routine financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency. This role supports day-to-day branch operations by assisting customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account-related questions while following established policies, procedures, and security standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally and provide a welcoming branch experience.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and check cashing transactions accurately.
- Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate transaction records throughout the workday.
- Verify customer identity and follow all security procedures and internal controls.
- Answer routine account and service questions or direct customers to the appropriate team member.
- Promote awareness of bank products and services by identifying customer needs and making appropriate referrals.
- Assist with branch opening, closing, and daily operational tasks as assigned.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and bank information.
- Support compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Cash handling, balancing, or retail transaction experience preferred.
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow procedures consistently.
- Flexible availability within branch operating hours, including occasional Saturdaysย
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teller, banking, cashier, or customer-facing experience.
- Familiarity with branch operations, transaction processing, or financial services.
- Ability to build rapport with customers and identify service opportunities.
