Job Title: Divisional Control Office (DCO), Investment Bank (Non-Financial Risk & Regulatory Adherence)

Overview
This Vice President role sits within the Americas Investment Bank Divisional Control Office (DCO) and is responsible for the end-to-end management of non-financial risk, regulatory adherence, and divisional controls across Investment Bank businesses. The role supports the Americas 1st Line of Defense (1LoD) and partners closely with 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD), Legal, Compliance, COO, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure the business operates in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. The role combines hands-on ownership of Risk & Control Assessment (RCA) execution, regulatory remediation and governance, and forward-looking regulatory readiness, with strong expectations for stakeholder management, thought leadership, and delivery discipline consistent with a VP-level appointment.

What You'll Do
Divisional Control & Non-Financial Risk Management
  • Own and manage non-financial risk and control activities for designated Investment Bank businesses, reporting into the IB Americas Divisional Control Officer
  • Ensure effective design, implementation, and sustainability of key controls aligned to business processes, risks, and regulatory expectations
  • Lead and coordinate the Americas RCA BAU book of work, including end-to-end process mapping, risk identification, control documentation, and quality assurance to ensure appropriate granularity and consistency
  • Act as a trusted 1LoD partner to business stakeholders, providing credible challenge and pragmatic solutions

Regulatory Remediation & Governance
  • Project manage the Americas regulatory remediation book of work, coordinating across 1LoD and 2LoD stakeholders to drive timely and sustainable outcomes
  • Support regulatory exams, inquiries, and ongoing regulatory reporting, including drafting and overseeing responses where appropriate
  • Monitor adherence to regulatory commitments, internal policies, and governance frameworks, escalating issues and risks as needed

Regulatory Adherence & Strategic Readiness
  • Perform impact assessments for new and amended U.S. regulatory requirements, including maintaining tracking and governance materials
  • Conduct horizon scanning in partnership with Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Compliance, RMG, and other stakeholders to identify emerging regulatory risks and themes
  • Maintain and execute a regulatory readiness framework to support business preparedness for regulatory, market structure, or geopolitical developments
  • Provide subject matter leadership on regulatory- and control-driven initiatives affecting business processes, governance, and operating practices

Operational Resiliency
  • Support the Investment Bank Operational Resiliency Program, contributing to the identification of important business services, impact tolerances, and response capabilities
  • Act as a subject matter contributor on the detection, prevention, and response to operational disruptions

How You'll Lead
  • Coordinate and influence senior stakeholders across business, control, and infrastructure functions.
  • Represent the business in forums related to non-financial risk, controls, and regulatory topics.
  • Lead complex initiatives with clear ownership of scope, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, leading by example and promoting a strong risk and control culture.

Skills You'll Need
  • Prior experience in Investment Banking, Non-Financial Risk, Divisional Control Office, Regulatory Adherence, COO, or relevant 2LoD or consulting roles.
  • Strong understanding of Investment Bank products, business models, and control environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with Risk & Control Assessments (RCA), regulatory remediation, and governance frameworks.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170K to $190L. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
