The opportunityย 

Theย Manager, Technologyย Solutionsย Vendor Management is accountable for oversight, governance, planning, and continuous improvement of the TS vendorย management process. Theย Managerย is a key contributor to maintaining strong relationships with these criticalย vendorsย for delivering business growth at scale. In particular, theย Managerย will be expected to closely engage with our strategic vendors to support senior technology leadership andย enterprise governance functions whileย ensuring long-term value from these partnerships.ย ย 

What to Expect

  • Partner withย TSย Leaders,ย Enterprise Procurement (EP),ย Risk Managementย and TS Securityย ย 
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the TS vendor landscape and realize expense savingsย ย 
  • Provideย support forย anyย TS OPEXย for year-end processes related to vendorsย 
  • Partner withย Vendor Risk/EPย to refine TS vendor management lifecycle to meet regulatory requirementsย ย 
  • Partner withย TS Leaders,ย EP, Vendors,ย Legalย and TS Business Management to ensure contracts are completed in alignment with Definity policies,ย strategyย andย fundingย 
  • Overseeย contractย approval process, ensuring thatย allย new deals and renewals are reviewed prior to deadlinesย 
  • Point of contact,ย with Enterprise Procurement, escalating blockers back to TSย Leadersย 
  • Coordinate and facilitateย Quarterlyย Businessย Reviewsย (QBR)ย withย Tier 1 andย Tier 2 vendorsย 
  • Withย vendor risk, manage regulatory compliance for Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendorsย  i.e. OSFI - B10 mandates. Includingย Governance Meetings, Exit Plans, Runbooks, Codeย 
  • Collaborateย onย Tier 1 and 2 vendorsย withย TS Business Managementย 
  • This role is an individual contributor role
  • Promotes Definity's Code of Business Conduct and values, and models behaviors that align to these principlesย ย 

What you Bring

  • University degree or college diploma in businessย administration, information systems,ย supply chainย managementย or a related disciplineย ย 
  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management or IT procurementย ย 
  • Experience in applying vendor management principles in IT domainsย ย 
  • Deep, practical understanding of contract lifecycle managementย 
  • Experience in Canadianย Property & Casualtyย (P&C)ย Insuranceย is considered an assetย ย 
  • Experience engaging and negotiating with senior vendor partners and leadersย ย 
  • Demonstrated outcomes articulating and delivering on Vendor Management strategiesย ย 
  • First-hand experience leading, developing and implementing vendor management practicesย 
  • Experience in supporting business and technology teams in RFPs and RFIsย ย 

Salary Range: $88,000-$138,000

Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
