Job Description Project Manager Location: Woodstock Shift: Days (In-Person) Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects through the full lifecycle - from tendering, quotations, and technical proposal development to execution, mobilisation, oversight, and final delivery. This role will oversee large-scale manufacturing projects, capital investment (CAPEX) initiatives, facility upgrades, and industrial production programs. The Project Manager will also lead multidisciplinary teams including project coordinators, engineers, planners, procurement, quality, and support staff to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to project team members Establish project goals, responsibilities, and performance expectations Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Promote collaboration between engineering, operations, procurement, quality, and administration teams Pre-Award (Tendering, Quoting & Proposal Development) Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, quotations, and technical proposals Coordinate estimating, scheduling, and risk management activities Develop execution strategies, manufacturing plans, and CAPEX requirements Support internal bid reviews and contract negotiations Post-Award (Project Execution & Delivery) Lead project kickoff meetings and project mobilisation activities Oversee manufacturing, facility, and capital projects from start to finish Manage schedules, budgets, risk registers, and project performance metrics Ensure deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders Manage project documentation, scope changes, and cost control Lead project closeout activities and lessons learned reviews Financial & Commercial Oversight Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow tracking Support business case development and CAPEX approvals Monitor project costs and schedules and implement corrective actions where required Ensure compliance with internal financial reporting standards Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline PMP certification or equivalent is considered an asset 10+ years of experience managing complex manufacturing, technical, or capital projects Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams in industrial or manufacturing environments Hands-on experience managing CAPEX projects including commissioning and start-up activities Strong understanding of project lifecycle management and manufacturing operations Knowledge & Skills Project management methodologies and lifecycle practices Manufacturing processes, engineering workflows, and quality systems Cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and project scheduling ERP/MRP systems and project scheduling software such as MS Project Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Strong financial acumen and decision-making capability Core Competencies Project Planning & Execution Leadership & Team Development Manufacturing & Capital Project Oversight Tender & Proposal Management Cost, Schedule & Risk Control Client & Stakeholder Engagement Technical & Commercial Documentation Continuous Improvement Mindset Benefits Extensive Health & Dental Coverage Pension Plan Annual Bonus Program Competitive Compensation Tuition Reimbursement Professional Development Support Employee Referral Program Social Events & Team Activities Long-Term Career Stability
