Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. This individual will play a key role in shaping financial strategy and supporting decision-making across the organization. The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning, modeling, analysis, and reporting. The role involves preparing financial reports, conducting variance analysis, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes to help the company achieve its financial objectives. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience in corporate finance or investment analysis, and a passion for driving business insights through data.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with department leaders to build and maintain detailed cash flow models to support strategic initiatives

• Create, maintain, and publish regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on investment performance and KPIs to aid decision-making and business management

• Support investment evaluations using due diligence and valuation methodologies such as DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions

• Monitor commodity pricing and conduct supporting analysis to assist in recommending hedging strategies to manage financial risk exposure

• Analyze financial performance and trends; prepare periodic financial reports and variance analyses

• Support Treasury in managing short-term liquidity through daily cash positioning and forecasting

• Assist in the annual update of oil and gas reserve reports

• Reconcile treasury transactions and support internal and external audit requests

• Monitor debt covenants and credit facility utilization

• Assist in the annual creation of tax schedules for consolidated tax returns

• Support Treasury, Finance, and Accounting internal systems optimization and data integrity

• Evaluate and implement automation tools to enhance financial modeling, forecasting, and decision support processes

Reports to: Director of Finance

Works closely with: VP of Operations and Director of Treasury, Tax, and Risk

Qualifications

• FPAC, CTP, CFA, or progress toward designation preferred

• 2–4 years of experience in corporate finance, management consulting, or investment banking

• Strong financial modeling skills required

• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills to think strategically and provide thoughtful analysis across the organization

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• Familiarity with technology systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly and troubleshoot technical issues

• Familiarity with ERP systems, treasury platforms, and hedging instruments (e.g., ISDA, swaps, forwards)

• Experience in the Oil & Gas or Digital Infrastructure industry is a plus
