The Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for leading the preparation, analysis, and governance of IMCO's financial statements and disclosures for IMCO Corporate and IMCO investment pool funds. This role ensures highquality, timely, and accurate reporting in accordance with IFRS and plays a key role in the preparation of materials for the Board, Finance and Audit Committee. The Manager supports the Senior Director in accounting analysis, policy development, audit coordination, and stakeholder communications, while driving continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and controls.

As a Member of Our Team You Will be Responsible For:

  • Lead the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting for IMCO Corporate and annual audited financial statements for IMCO investment pool funds, including performing accounting analysis to support key judgments, estimates, and disclosures.

  • Perform detailed accounting analysis on complex transactions, new standards, and emerging issues, and document clear conclusions and recommendations.

  • Support the Finance and Audit Committee preparation process, including drafting, reviewing, and coordinating materials.

  • Act as the lead Finance partner to the Sustainable Investing team to support the preparation and oversight of sustainable investing disclosures.

  • Prepare investment legal entity financial statements and related supplemental financial information, as required.

  • Develop, update, and interpret accounting policies in accordance with IFRS, including assessing the impact of new or amended accounting standards.

  • Liaise with external auditors to coordinate and support corporate, pool fund, and legal entity audits, including addressing technical accounting matters.

  • Provide oversight and controls over financial disclosures related to IMCO's annual report, including sustainability disclosures and AUM reconciliation, while working with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment across the organization.

  • Support the Accounting Operations team in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of monthend and yearend processes, including accruals and reconciliations, and assist with related procedures as required.

  • Partner with the Enterprise Portfolio Management team to provide financial support on strategic initiatives.

  • Ensure appropriate working papers, process documentation, and control evidence are maintained to support financial reporting, audits, and governance requirements.

  • Participate in special projects and crossfunctional initiatives as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).

  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation required; CFA considered an asset.

  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, preferably within asset management or financial services.

  • Strong technical accounting and accounting analysis skills (IFRS required; ASPE an asset), with the ability to assess complex transactions and articulate conclusions clearly.

  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits for complex investment structures.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear materials and present complex financial information to senior management, Board members, and committees.

  • Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadlinedriven environment.

  • Proven ability to develop accounting policies, process documentation, and control frameworks.

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and financial reporting tools.

The base salary range for this position is CAD $105,000.00 - $138,000.00. The placement within the range is determined by the range of market pay for the specific position, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skillset and experience relative to the requirements of the position and to internal peers. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in IMCO's annual incentive plan.
