Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Directly own and manage the daily accounting operations for the US market, while supporting Canada and Mexico entities on an as-needed basis.
  • Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing team across global accounting functions including Revenue/AR, AP, and Payroll.
  • Evaluate, re-engineer, and shorten the current month-end close cycle to deliver rapid, accurate, and actionable financial reporting per US GAAP.
  • Partner alongside corporate finance leadership to drive deep continuous transformation of accounting processes, financial policies, and internal controls.
  • Actively participate as a key stakeholder and core contributor in the upcoming global upgrade and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Oversee and execute complex technical accounting under ASC 606, specifically managing revenue recognition for diverse cost-plus projects.
  • Apply expert knowledge of ASC 805 (Business Combinations) to seamlessly integrate historical financial data from newly acquired corporate entities.
  • Manage the monthly financial consolidation process for 5+ entities spanning across 4 currencies.
  • Build, refine, and deliver clear operational P&Ls across varied locations and markets to ensure leadership understands exact product and regional profitability.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders (Operations, Sales, Tech) to translate complex numbers into strategic metrics and point out where to focus next.
  • Lead quarterly balance sheet reviews with internal stakeholders, highlighting underlying operational risks, hidden opportunities, and targeted areas of focus.
  • Analyze pricing structures, individual job profitability, break-even thresholds, and upcoming expansion opportunities to enable data-driven executive decisions.
  • Maintain solid working relationships with external auditors (RSM), tax advisors (PwC & Deloitte), and banking partners (BofA and Wells Fargo) to ensure statutory compliance.

Experience Deemed a Plus But Not Required
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience within a public or high-growth corporate environment, with at least 2-3 years managing a team.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP, specifically including strong exposure to ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 805 (Business Combinations).
  • Prior experience managing complex multi-entity, international corporate consolidations involving foreign currencies.
  • Experience working within modern financial environments and accounting sub-ledgers (Oracle Fusion, SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics 365).
  • Proven track record coordinating with public external accounting firms and managing audit timelines.
