They may work independently, for financial planning firms, or for banks and other financial institutions.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop and execute 401GO's public relations and corporate communications
  • Build and maintain relationships with national, regional, business, fintech, retirement, HR, and technology media.
  • Create compelling stories that position 401GO as an innovative leader and thought leader in the retirement industry.
  • Own and execute 401GO's social media strategy, including content planning, executive social presence, content distribution, and audience growth.

  • Secure keynote speaking opportunities, conference presentations, podcasts, media interviews, and industry events that expand the visibility of both 401GO and its leadership team.
  • Partner with the Events team to maximize the impact of conferences, sponsorships, customer events, and webinars through communications and media outreach.
  • Write and oversee the development of press releases, executive messaging, speeches, blogs, bylined articles, award submissions, and social content.
  • Manage external PR agency, media partners, and communications vendors while ensuring consistent messaging across every channel.
  • Develop crisis communication plans and provide strategic guidance during sensitive or high-profile situations.
  • Measure earned media, executive visibility, share of voice, backlinks, social engagement, and brand awareness to improve communications performance.
  • Help position 401GO as an industry leader by making the company appear like an organization 5-10x its size through storytelling and strategic communications.
  • Attend industry conferences, partner events, media opportunities, and executive engagements as needed.
What You Bring
  • 12+ years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Executive Communications, or Brand Strategy.
  • Proven success building executive thought leadership programs and securing national and industry media coverage.
  • Strong relationships with business, financial services, fintech, HR, technology, and retirement industry media.
  • Experience developing and executing social media and executive branding strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive visibility through podcasts, speaking engagements, webinars, and industry events.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics into compelling narratives.
  • Experience leading proactive PR campaigns that generate measurable business impact.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Experience managing PR agencies, media partners, and freelancers. Must have a strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively while also executing at a high level.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, retirement, payroll, HR technology, or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
