Job description

Overview
At BerryDunn, you may have opportunities to work with clients in the industries of Health Care, Not-for-Profit, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Construction, Higher Education, and many others. Your work will be closely supervised through coaching and training, and you can expect to receive hands-on guidance from the Supervisor, Consultant, or Principal in charge of the engagement.
You will receive extensive internal and external training on technical and soft skills, teamwork, and the firm's systems, operations, and relationships. The firm expects you to demonstrate flexibility, have a willingness to seek out advice, and exhibit an ambition for learning.
Training provided will include: trial balance software systems, Depreciation Solution Software (DSW), tax return software (Axcess), CaseWare for electronic workpapers, as well as internal office procedures.
We have openings for:
  • Spring 2027 running from January 5, 2027 through April 16, 2027.

In order to be considered, you must include your unofficial academic transcription with your application.
You Will
  • Preparation of trial balance from client information: posting adjusting entries, using software to calculate depreciation, and maintaining ongoing client data
  • Preparation of 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S and 1065 tax returns to be reviewed by senior staff members
  • Assist with special projects
  • Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks
  • Build working relationships at peer client level
  • Seek to gain knowledge of client businesses
  • Effectively document work
  • Identify task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner
  • Actively pursue self-development opportunities in line with the competency model
  • Build strong team relationship skills
  • Act as an Ambassador to the Universities

You Have
  • Completed Federal Income Tax course
  • Available a minimum of 24 hours per week (preferably 3 full days per week)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Team player with a positive - 'can do' approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A general and growing knowledge of firm products and services in the practice area, and a general knowledge of products and services in other practice areas.
  • A general understanding of market trends including opportunities, global and local business initiatives.

Compensation Details
The hourly rate for this role is $30 per hour. This rate range represents BerryDunn's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final rate may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The hourly rate for the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
