The LGBTQA+ Center is seeking a part-time Program Intern that will work with the LGBTQA+ Center Director on outreach, staff management, training, and development of educational programs for the Pleasantville campus community for the 2026-2027 academic year. The LGBTQA+ Center Program Intern will connect students to resources; plan and develop programs; co-facilitate trainings and discussions; perform basic web maintenance and social media management; and help organize a weekly newsletter. The Program Intern will also be responsible for coordinating LGBTQA+ Student Assistant projects and schedules. The Program Intern will gain valuable and transferable skills, such as staff management, event planning, LGBTQA+ knowledge, that can support future employment opportunities.
The Program Intern should be able to provide at least 20 hours of consistent availability from Monday to Friday and between 9:00am to 5:00pm during the 2026-2027 academic year. The Program Intern will not work during University closures or academic breaks.
Position Duties
- Work with the LGBTQA+ Center director on outreach, staff management, training, and development of educational programs for the campus community.
- Connect students to resources; plan and develop programs; co-facilitate trainings and discussions.
- Perform basic web maintenance and social media management.
- Assist with organizing a weekly newsletter.
- Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Work Hours
The LGBTQA+ Center Program Intern will work 20 hours throughout the week, preferably during business hours (9:00am - 5:00pm) and on site in the Pleasantville campus, Kessel Student Center (room 310).
