Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer provides highly organized, proactive executive-level support in a fast-paced poultry processing environment. This role serves as a trusted business partner to the CFO by managing administrative priorities, supporting contract administration, assisting with legal documentation and corporate records, and coordinating special projects. The position requires professionalism, discretion, strong organizational skills, comfort with data, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage confidential business information.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the CFO's calendar, scheduling, travel arrangements, and meeting logistics.

  • Organize internal and external meetings, including preparing agendas, taking meeting notes, and tracking follow-up items.

  • Track action items, deadlines, and follow-up activities to support timely completion of executive priorities.

  • Assist the CFO with special projects, strategic initiatives, reporting needs, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Manage review and execution of contracts across multiple internal departments.

  • Track legal deadlines, compliance requirements, contract renewal dates, and document retention schedules.

  • Coordinate with outside legal counsel on litigation, employment matters, contract negotiations, internal legal policies, and regulatory issues.

  • Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for executive, financial, legal, and corporate records.

  • Process expense reports, coordinate travel-related expenses, and support administrative documentation needs.

  • Coordinate document collection for audits, insurance renewals, and other business requirements.

  • Serve as a liaison between the CFO and internal departments, customers, vendors, outside partners, and legal counsel.

  • Help coordinate company meetings, leadership events, and other administrative activities.

  • Handle sensitive legal, financial, and business information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation
Compensation: $70,000-$85,000
The posted compensation range for this role reflects the minimum and maximum amount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Five or more years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably at the C-suite level.

  • Experience with contract administration, legal documentation, or paralegal responsibilities is required.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, project coordination, and follow-through skills.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, including strong proofreading and document editing skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and work independently with highly sensitive business information.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Paralegal Certificate or formal legal training preferred.

  • Experience supporting executives within a manufacturing, industrial, or operations-focused organization preferred.

  • Knowledge of contract management, corporate governance, or compliance processes preferred.

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
This role is primarily performed in an office environment. The position requires regular use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment; frequent communication with internal and external partners; and the ability to manage confidential information in a professional setting. Occasional visits to operational or production areas may be required, where appropriate PPE and safety practices must be followed. Limited travel may be required for meetings, events, or business needs.
