Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Analyst – FP&A & Accounting to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, accounting close, and financial analysis activities. The Analyst will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders to analyze financial performance, monitor costs and variances, and provide accurate financial information to support business decisions.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and Excel skills, knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the consolidation of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Long-Range Plans (LRP).

• Assist with budgeting, financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.

• Coordinate the development of budgets and key margin drivers, including revenue, pricing, promotions, consumer incentives, and cost of goods.

• Analyze and review forecasted and actual cost reports.

• Consolidate and review budget packages for presentation to senior management.

• Prepare and consolidate monthly financial reporting.

• Review monthly costs, financial performance, and variances.

• Provide balance sheet and financial controls oversight.

• Support assigned customer groups by providing financial guidance and analysis.

• Assist with monthly OET meetings, including scheduling, agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-up tracking.

• Monitor customer accounts receivable aging and support collection improvement initiatives.

• Review and analyze Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) by customer on a monthly basis.

• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis for customers and internal stakeholders.

• Liaise with relevant teams to manage customer accounts and resolve financial issues.

• Support the accounting close and consolidation process.

• Prepare monthly journal entries and complete account reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with established financial controls and accounting procedures.

• Support global Finance initiatives, including global consolidation tools and standard chart-of-accounts projects.

• Provide analytical support for ongoing Free Cash Flow improvement initiatives.

• Conduct financial research and data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.

• Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• CPA certification preferred/required as applicable.

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting and/or finance.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Knowledge of internal financial controls.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct financial research and data analysis.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with financial modeling.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Flexible, organized, and customer-service oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

• Commercial finance experience, preferably within the alcoholic beverage industry.

• Experience with SAP is a plus.
