Supported with an array of resources, the Financial Consultant at Manulife John Hancock Wealth spend their time deepening relationships with an established base of clients and organically growing our practice through internal referrals to deliver financial solutions and retirement goals of the clients we serve. We hire and develop Financial Consultant who believe in our mission of helping our clients find confidence in retirement and who personify our values.

  • Demonstrate strong client service and sales skills to quickly uncover the needs of the client and offer appropriate solutions.

  • Possess expertise in retirement and investment knowledge and be able to educate clients on possible solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • You are a vital member of our employee channel phone-based team who is passionate about providing financial education, guidance and fundamental solutions to our exiting IRA customers, referrals from other service centers, etc. and helping customers make good decisions about their existing retirement accounts.

  • Respond to inbound calls, assess customer needs, and guide clients to allow them to make informed investment decisions.

  • Ability to quickly analyze and assess the unique needs of the customer and then present options to address those needs. Be consultative and provide education to provide high quality service and uncover additional assets to deepen client relationships.

  • Work in a team structure and understand when appropriate, you will refer customers who require more sophisticated advice to more senior advisors on the team.

  • Stay informed of market trends, retirement regulations, and economic indicators to provide sound guidance helping the customer make informed decisions.

  • Detailed knowledge of the diverse range of John Hancock Wealth offerings and solutions that are available to our customers.

  • Assist customers and respond to their questions about their account and investments including asset movement, trading, along with with day-to-day service inquiries.

  • Deliver outstanding customer experience in a professional manner while assisting clients in their decision-making process.

  • Achieve monthly productivity targets that includes acting on sales lead opportunities.

  • Participate in training and coaching development programs crafted to improve skills and provide opportunities for advancement.

  • Share successful customer engagement experiences and ideas for improvement in execution in a team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-3 years of Financial Services experience, preferably in phone and/or sales roles.

  • FINRA SIE, Series 6, 63 required and Series 65 required within 6 months of hire date.

Salary range is expected to be between

$40,000.00 USD - $66,700.00 USD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
