Real Estate Transactions & Finance Associate (Leasing Focus)
Location: Multiple Locations (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, Orange County, Chicago)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Transactions & Finance Associate with 4โ€“5 years of experience to join a nationally recognized real estate practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile leasing and real estate transactions for institutional clients, developers, and major corporate tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate complex commercial leases, with a focus on office leasing transactions

  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and joint venture matters

  • Prepare and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and loan documents

  • Manage closing processes, including coordinating closing checklists and documentation

  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients on sophisticated real estate transactions

Qualifications:

  • 4โ€“5 years of transactional real estate experience

  • Strong experience with commercial leasing (tenant-side preferred)

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment

  • Active bar membership in good standing
