Bloom Financial Private Wealth Management | Central Texas

Location: On-site โ€” Cedar Park / Leander, TX area

Employment Type: Full-Time Independent Contractor

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday, full-time

Experience: Financial services/annuity/wealth management experience preferred

About Bloom Financial

Bloom Financial Private Wealth Management is an independent financial planning and wealth management firm serving individuals and families throughout Central Texas. We help clients with retirement planning, investment management, annuities, 403(b) plans, IRAs, and wealth preservation.

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Financial Operations & New Business Associate to join our team and take ownership of the day-to-day processing and follow-up required to move client business from application to completion.

This is an on-site position working closely with our advisors and clients. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys organization, paperwork, problem-solving, and making sure things actually get done.

What You'll Do

New Business & Account Processing

  • Prepare, process, and track annuity applications and new business
  • Process Fidelity investment account applications and paperwork
  • Assist with IRA, 403(b), and other retirement account transactions
  • Coordinate account transfers, rollovers, and ACAT/non-ACAT transfers
  • Gather required client documents and signatures
  • Submit paperwork to insurance carriers, custodians, and other financial institutions
  • Monitor applications and transfers from submission through completion
  • Follow up with carriers and custodians on outstanding requirements
  • Identify missing or incorrect information before submission whenever possible
  • Maintain accurate records and status updates for every client case

Client & Advisor Support

  • Communicate with clients regarding required documents, signatures, and next steps
  • Work directly with advisors to keep cases moving
  • Help resolve processing issues and outstanding requirements
  • Follow up persistently when a carrier, custodian, or client has not completed a required step
  • Provide regular updates on pending business
  • Help ensure clients have a smooth experience throughout the account-opening and transfer process

Office Operations

  • Maintain organized electronic client files
  • Enter and update information in CRM and other internal systems
  • Track pending cases and deadlines
  • Maintain checklists and workflows for new business
  • Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable handling a high volume of paperwork and deadlines
  • A strong follow-up person who does not let things fall through the cracks
  • Comfortable communicating professionally with clients and financial institutions
  • Proficient with computers and willing to learn new software quickly
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and CRM systems
  • Able to prioritize multiple cases simultaneously
  • A strong written and verbal communicator
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable working independently without constant supervision
  • Professional, friendly, and comfortable interacting with clients
  • A problem solver who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced financial-services environment
Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred:

  • Financial advisory or wealth management office
  • Annuity processing
  • Life insurance/new business processing
  • 401(k), 403(b), IRA, or retirement account processing
  • Fidelity or other investment custodians
  • ACAT transfers or account transfers
  • Rollover processing
  • Insurance agency operations
  • Bank or financial institution operations
  • Registered investment advisor (RIA) operations
  • Client service or financial-services administration

Industry experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate.

We are more interested in someone who is smart, organized, dependable, learns quickly, and takes ownership than someone who simply has a degree.

Education

No formal college degree required.

Relevant professional experience, financial-services experience, or demonstrated organizational ability will be considered more important than formal education.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 90 days, you should be able to:

  • Independently manage the status of pending applications and transfers
  • Know what requirements are outstanding on each case
  • Follow up with the appropriate person without being reminded
  • Accurately prepare and submit routine paperwork
  • Keep the advisor informed of important case developments
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date client files
  • Help reduce processing delays and prevent cases from falling through the cracks
Important Qualities

Attention to detail is critical.

This position involves financial documents, client information, applications, transfers, and deadlines. Small mistakes can create significant delays for clients.

We need someone who will double-check their work, ask questions when something doesn't look right, and take responsibility for getting each case across the finish line.

Compensation

Full-time independent contractor position.

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.

Opportunity for additional performance-based compensation may be available based on responsibilities and performance.

Why Join Bloom Financial?
  • Work directly with an experienced financial advisory team
  • Gain valuable experience in wealth management and retirement planning
  • Become an important part of a growing independent financial-services firm
  • Work directly with clients and financial institutions
  • Opportunity for increased responsibility as the firm grows
  • Stable, full-time, on-site role
To Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief explanation of:

  1. Your previous administrative, financial-services, or operations experience
  2. Your experience processing financial or insurance paperwork
  3. The types of financial institutions, custodians, or insurance companies you have worked with
  4. Why you believe you would be a good fit for a detail-oriented operations position

Qualified candidates may be asked to participate in a phone/video interview followed by an in-person interview.
