Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis in support of assigned business areas. The Financial Analyst partners cross-functionally to develop budgets and forecasts, analyze financial performance, explain variances and provide actionable insights to management and business leaders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Serve as a financial business partner to assigned departments
  • Support the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes for assigned departments, including leading meetings, analyzing assumptions and preparing forecast updates
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supplemental information
  • Assist in the monthly close process by attending review meetings with department owners in conjunction with the accounting team, providing commentary on variances, and updating partner departments with results
  • Analyze financial results to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement KPIs and metrics aligned with organizational goals
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting, KPI development, operational performance metrics, and financial analysis processes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested by senior management

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Perform work in a reliable, timely, and professional manner consistent with business needs.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Use sound judgment when analyzing information, making recommendations, and escalating issues as appropriate.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2-3 years of financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or related finance experience.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint; experience with financial modeling, data analysis, and presentation of financial results preferred.
  • Self-motivated, high initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize financial results, explain variances, and prepare clear reports and presentations for business partners.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with interests in building strong business partnering relationships
  • Detail-oriented with appropriate organizational and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing and/or medical device environment
  • Experience applying AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and insight generation in financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, or data visualization, while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate review of outputs.
  • Experience in using PowerBI for data visualization, reporting, and dashboard creation
  • Experience in Oracle Fusion
  • Proficiency in SQL for data retrieval, manipulation, query and analysis
  • Accounting/US GAAP knowledge
  • Data analysis experience

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
