Position Overview

SBH is seeking a detailoriented Financial Analyst to support fiscal operations, purchasing, and budgeting activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial processes, effective procurement, and compliance with state and agency requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Review and coordinate purchasing and spending activities, including travel expenses, supplies, equipment, and service payments.
Assist with budget processes, including monitoring encumbrances, coordinating funds, and tracking purchases requiring state-level approvals.
Enter and maintain financial data in OAKS; prepare financial reports; process vendor documentation; and reconcile purchasing and payment transactions.
Carry out procurement activities for the entire facility, ensure compliance with all purchasing requirements, compare vendor quotes, and coordinate delivery followup.
Research vendors, draft solicitations, and support competitive bidding when needed.
Maintain awareness of safety standards and use agency communication tools to stay current with required training.

This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 30 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00 PM. This position is located in Hamilton County, at the Summit Behavioral Healthcare hospital,1101 Summit Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237.

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Position Qualifications

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software. 

-Or 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an intermediate level of experience in spreadsheet software. 

-Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Associate, 66561. 

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. 

NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May be required to work long or unusual hours during peak operational periods.
