Job Summary:

PYA Waltman Capital, LLC is seeking a Financial Planning Associate to join its growing team in Summer 2027. The Financial Planning Associate provides technical and client service support to higher level advisors and the Director of Financial Planning Services. This position is located in Knoxville, Tennessee, and designed to advance into an Associate Advisor position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide support for financial planning engagements for PYA Waltman Capital clients by assisting with the following:
    • Gathering and organizing data and client communication
    • Developing financial plan analyses and scenarios including client onboarding and portfolio reviews.
    • Preparing presentations for client meetings, including managing meeting notes and action items
  • Serve as a project organizer by proactively managing action items for the planning team, with a focus on moving client engagements forward
  • Assist with other projects and research as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in business (accounting, finance, financial planning, economics) or related experience required
  • Pursuit of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation preferred
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry, preferably with exposure to financial planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; experience with various financial planning, CRM, portfolio management and document management software preferred
