Position Summary:

The General Accountant / Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial performance, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. This role combines strong accounting knowledge with analytical skills to support business decision-making and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Support
  • Assist with preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger records.
  • Support monthly account reconciliations and financial close activities.
  • Supports accounts payable/accounts receivable processes.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and data entry.
  • Supports audit preparation and documentation requests.
  • Follow company accounting policies and procedures.


Financial Analysis & Data Analytics Support

  • Assist with preparing financial reports and spreadsheets.
  • Support budget tracking and variance analysis.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends.
  • Maintain financial models and reporting templates.
  • Help prepare management reports and presentations.
  • Assist with KPI tracking and operational reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by management.
  • Assist with building and maintaining dashboards and reports.
  • Help organize and validate financial and operational datasets.
  • Use Excel and reporting tools to identify trends and summarize findings.
  • Support basic data analytics projects and KPI reporting.


Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Internship or 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; has curiosity
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • Basic Power BI or Tableau experience
  • Introductory SQL or database knowledge
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting concepts
