Job description


Financial Analyst
Location: Hybrid - O'Fallon, MO
(must live in the St. Louis, MO area)
Annual Compensation: $85,000-$90,000 DOE
The Financial Analyst continuously pursues opportunities for operational efficiencies, streamlines financial reporting processes, and assists all levels of the organization with financial analysis. They support the Part 135 Air operations and assume reporting and analysis on payroll, aircraft maintenance, and overhead expense.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review data, reports, and statistical information, analyze trends and render adjustments to priorities and operations to increase effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with Part 135 Ops Finance Management on identifying gaps, process issues, or areas of concern during the business flow process, and determine potential loss of revenue or incurred expense associated with these issues.
  • Work with the Accounting Department and Payroll during the monthly close process and prepare journal entries.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of payroll shift types by base.
  • Administer and analyze capital purchases including annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis.
  • Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, reporting, and analysis; providing insight and recommendations for cost savings or profitability improvement strategies.
  • Develop new reports and models as needed.
  • Provide continuous improvement of data collection, analytical processes and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Licensing/Certification:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required

Experience:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in corporate finance required

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Financial Statements, (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, statement of retained earnings, statement of cash flows)
  • Strong organization, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, analytics software, and ERP systems is required
  • Experience working with large data sets required
