Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Business Management Analyst (Level 3) or Senior Principal Business Management Analyst (Level 4) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Ideally this position will be located in our El Segundo, CA offices. However, the selected candidate may also report to major sector office locations in Melbourne, FL, Rancho Bernardo, CA, Palmdale, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, or Clearfield, UT. The preference will be for in-office work. There is limited opportunity for hybrid/remote work, but in those cases the employee will be expected to routinely come into the office based on a schedule agreed upon with the manager.

The Business Management Analyst will be responsible for providing support to the Sector and Division Contracts organizations. This includes being a focal point for contracts process, policies, and industry regulations, including the Risk Work Authorization (RWA) system, and management of the SOX self-audit process for contract set up. In addition, the Business Management Analyst will be responsible for managing various reporting responsibilities related to contracts, including: RWAs, SOX Controls, Closeouts, UCAs, and other topics as necessary. Attendance in Sector meetings, working groups, and compliance councils will also be a regular and expected role for this position. The selected candidate will be an integral part of Sector Operations in ensuring that the contracts professionals in AS have the resources and support required for success.

This role includes responsibilities related to training for the Sector and Division contracts organizations. The selected candidate will act as the primary LX administrator and be responsible for tasks including maintenance of functional trainings in Learning Exchange (LX) and My Learning Experience (MLE), as well as providing regular support and facilitation of the Enterprise Contracts Training and Certification (ECTAC) program.

The successful analyst will have strong organizational and communication skills and be able to find creative and efficient solutions to the business challenges of a diverse AS Sector customer base and complex contract requirements. They will also be a conduit between Contracts, Sector Finance, Billing, Cost & Schedule Management and other functional areas, other sectors' Contracts and IWO organizations, and the Chief Information & Digital Office (CIDO).

Roles and Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing various reporting responsibilities related to RWAs, SOX Controls, Closeouts, UCAs, and other topics as necessary. Reporting may be on a monthly, quarterly, or bi-annually basis.
  • Attending Sector meetings, working groups, and compliance councils as required. Acting as primary owner for any actions that come out of these meetings.
  • Acting as primary Learning Exchange (LX) administrator and be responsible for tasks including maintenance of functional trainings in LX and My Learning Experience (MLE).
  • Providing regular support and facilitation of the ECTAC Program. As part of the ECTAC team, the successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with instructors, setting up classes, facilitating live classes, recording attendance, and closing classes.
  • Acting as a focal point for Aeronautics Systems Sector to manage data calls at the Sector and Enterprise level
  • Identifying potential process/system enhancements, and acting as a focal point for PrOP updates
  • Utilizing SAP S/4, Analysis Office, PIEE (Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment)/WAWF (Wide Area Workflow), MOCAS (Mechanization of Contract Administration Services) Data Access and other reporting tools to perform business analysis to support data calls and requests for information
  • Supporting initiatives and ad hoc requests from Sector and Corporate leadership
  • The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and internal controls.

  • SAP S/4 experience, ideally with direct experience in Sales & Distribution (SD), Project Systems (PS), Financial Reporting, Billing, or Intercompany Work Order (IWO) processes
  • Data mining, analytical, and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

Salary range will be dependent upon where the position is based/located and follows our company geographic salary bands aligned with position. Specific salary offer for candidate selected will be commensurate with experience.
