Job description

The Financial Analyst will assist with the gathering and analysis of financial information based on cost, price, and expenses. They will develop basic analysis of economic indicators to understand market behavior and emerging trends and assist in the monthly analysis of financial results. This position is not eligible for sponsorship or relocation.
How you will do it:
  • Responsible for the maintenance, and/or creation and issuance of payroll reports.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly closing reports and journal entries, payroll, raw material usage and variance reports.
  • Analyzes and explains deviations.
  • Recommends corrective action to ensure favorable plant budget performance.
  • Outlooks plant expenses, material and labor cost monthly.
  • Audits plant operating practices versus standard operating procedures and company policies and takes necessary actions to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates and assists staff in quarterly review.
  • Directs monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Explains book to physical differences and establishes procedures to eliminate inventory variances.
  • Works with teams to determine cost savings of projects.
  • Reconciliation of Accounts Payable including listing of payments outstanding by number of days.
  • Complete and review for accuracy invoicing to outside vendors.
  • Assists in preparing plant operating budgets and reviews actual against budgeted performance. Analyzes and explains deviations.
  • Prepares/reviews account reconciliations, including accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding reconciling items.
  • Execute timely and accurate preparation of all accounting /financial results.
  • Develops analysis and reporting tools to support business needs. Use of Power BI workstreams.

What we look for:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration Or Similar Discipline
  • Must be expert in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivots, data analytics) and PowerPoint.

Preferred:
  • Preferred 2-3 years of experience with increasing responsibility in financial roles.
  • A highly motivated individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities and presenting financial information to senior management.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and a drive to identified opportunities to completion.
  • Must have previous experience adapting to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment with focus on continuous improvement.
  • SAP, ADP and Onestream experience a plus
