Job description

Working Hours/Days7am-5pm, Monday-Friday. OverviewThis position is responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing parts inventory across Altorfer locations to maximize inventory performance, support customer demand, and achieve company inventory objectives.Basic Duties
  • Utilize company marketing and warranty programs to process, validate, record, and submit eligible claims.
  • Upload and manage claim activity through Sequel and other business systems to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Develop and execute Sequel queries to provide inventory, claims, and operational data requested by Product Support and management teams.
  • Collaborate with the Product Support Team to ensure claims are submitted accurately, tracked effectively, and resolved promptly.
  • Analyze inventory levels and demand trends to recommend stocking strategies that support customer service objectives and inventory investment goals.
  • Coordinate daily product orders and inter-branch transfers to maintain inventory availability and support branch operations.
  • Produce and distribute inventory performance, financial, and operational reports for branch and corporate leadership.
  • Monitor inventory metrics and conduct ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for inventory optimization and improved operational efficiency.
  • Determine stocking requirements and inventory replenishment quantities using historical usage data, forecasting tools, and business objectives.
  • Review surplus inventory and coordinate annual returns, inventory reduction initiatives, and stock balancing efforts.
  • Maintain regular communication with branch personnel to resolve inventory discrepancies, shipping issues, and system-related concerns.
  • Manage inventory count procedures, cycle count compliance, and inventory accuracy initiatives across multiple locations.
  • Apply pricing updates and maintain inventory master data within the dealer business system.
  • Partner with Parts, Service, Accounting, Product Support, and Information Technology teams to improve inventory processes and data integrity.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements that enhance inventory accuracy, operational consistency, and customer service levels.
  • Assist with inventory audits, branch reviews, training initiatives, and implementation of inventory control best practices.
  • Provide inventory management support and guidance to multiple branch locations in a corporate support capacity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Payrate: MIN: $73,000 - Max: $85,000 annually

Qualifications 
  • Advanced computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint), inventory management systems, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Viewpoint, Power BI, or similar data analytics and business intelligence applications preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and locations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% to support branch operations, inventory reviews, training initiatives, and process improvement activities.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Candidates must have no more than two minor violations within the past three years and no major violations within the past five years. A Drivers License Check will be conducted for the final candidate.
  • Minimum of four years of inventory control, inventory management, or supply chain experience, preferably in a corporate, regional, or multi-location support role.
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory data, identify trends, and implement solutions that improve inventory accuracy and operational performance.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and following all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as required.

This position mainly works in an office but may be required to work in a warehouse/shop environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 50lbs. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields and steel toed shoes) when needed. The noise level in the warehouse/shop environment is usually moderate to high and office environment noise level is usually moderate to low. May intermittently sit at a desk for a period of time to answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Some travel is required. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
