This role assesses risk exposure, determines creditworthiness, and supports decision-making on loan approvals, credit limits, and terms, including interest rates. The Credit Analyst prepares detailed financial analyses and credit risk reports to guide management decisions, and collaborates closely with remote sales representatives and internal departments to support customer acquisitions, dealer financing needs, and ongoing account management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze clients' credit data and financial statements to assess lending risk for heavy equipment and commercial truck financing transactions
  • Prepare comprehensive credit analysis reports and risk assessments to support equipment loan, lease, and dealer financing decisions
  • Review client records and recommend appropriate payment structures, credit terms, and financing options for equipment dealers and commercial trucking operations
  • Complete loan applications, credit analyses, and loan summaries for management approval on heavy equipment and commercial vehicle financing requests
  • Calculate and interpret financial ratios using internal systems and software to evaluate borrower creditworthiness and asset-based lending risk
  • Communicate with credit bureaus, credit associations, and trade references to verify credit information for equipment and truck dealership customers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Marketing to manage credit exposure, floor plan financing, and inventory-related financial orders
  • Monitor customer accounts and payment histories to ensure timely collections and reduce risk of past-due accounts or disputes
  • Communicate directly with clients to verify financial transactions and resolve credit and collections concerns related to equipment and truck financing
  • Support remote sales teams across dealership locations with credit evaluations for equipment and truck acquisitions and customer onboarding

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future
  • Regular, in-person attendance is required at one of our three listed locations; reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience financing heavy equipment and/or commercial trucks
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume credit and collections environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial software systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
